The Talks Music Videos

Surrect helped “The Talks” a Hull band deliver to great videos to the world of music. The first video “Picture this” – we organised and produced the complete video, it was based on the popularity of karaoke but the downside of the inervability of a bands track ending up being sung in a dark ally pub.

The video was broken down into two sections, first part was filmed at RD&D photography studio on a fantastic white backdrop – and enough space for our 6 meter boom/jip to capture some great shoots of the band playing the “Picture This” tune. This part of the video will be the karaoke part we composed the words to the song over this sequence along with making the footage appear on a TV. The second part of the video was filmed in the “Queens Head Pub” on Princes Ave in Hull, this was the setting for the karaoke sequence, showing random people singing there hits song. A select few fans and friends were invited to help and star in the making of the video – as you can see a lot of fun was had by all.

“Killer Sinner” the second of the music videos we helped them with was filmed and edited by the band themselves, we were asked to add some post-production – the flares, tweaks and colour correction – along with making sure both music videos were prepared and converted to DigiBeta for distribution to the music channels.

Monaco Dance Festival

Post Production for Monaco Dance Festival video

Surrect were asked to edit 9 hours of video down to a two minute show reel to be presented as a proposal piece for the Fox Network and Len Goodman. The project encompasses brand motion build, video and music edit as well as post graphics and colour pass.

I would like to thank you and Graham for what I can only describe as a fantastic job, producing the show reel for the Monaco dance Sport Festival, given the time frame and the quality of the original you have made a quality finished product, which is to be presented to a major network TV company in the USA.
